The New York Giants star receiver, Hakeem Nicks, who broke his foot back in May might not miss games as a result of the injury. Additionally, he may even see some action during the preseason, which is something that no one expected. Nicks has 76 receptions last season and finished just 8 eight yards shy of having 1,200 yards on the season, but it wasn’t until the playoffs when Nicks showed the NFL that he is one of the elite receivers. In the Giants four post season games, Nicks has 28 receptions, 444 yards, and four touchdowns. Other than the 49ers game, he was virtually unstoppable!
With Nicks coming off the PUP list and stepping onto the practice field, this now means he can participate in team drills, receive passes from Eli, and he will also be unable to return to the PUP. Nicks has made it clear for a while now that he has no expectations of missing the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 5th. This isn’t the first time that Nicks has come back early from an injury, does anyone remember when he missed almost no time at all with compartment syndrome?
