For the third year in the row, the New York Giants traveled to the Palace and Dallas, and they knocked it the F*** down. The Giants should be sending their thanks to Jerry Jones for building Eli Manning his place of dominance. If you still don’t get what I’m saying, Eli and the Giants are 3-0 in their 3 games they’ve played at Cowboys Stadium.
Now, let’s discuss the game a little bit. Although it’s always great to see the Giants escape a match-up with the Cowboys with a win, it’s still extremely troubling that in the 14th week of the NFL season, the Giants look just as lost, if not more lost, on the defensive side of the ball. Yes, it’s exciting to have over 500 yards of offense, a QB throw for 400 yards with a 100-yard rusher for only the second time this season, but the Giants gave up 444-yards and Romo was able to throw for 4 TD’s against the Giants weak and confused defense. If it wasn’t for the fact that the Giants and Cowboys are the only two teams fighting to take the NFC East Crown, I would say you can stick a fork in the Giants, but Dallas may actually be worse, so unfortunately the Giants glaring problems may be overlooked by an undeserved playoff appearance.
Let’s get this straight right now, the Giants will not win a playoff game! They may make the playoffs, but I don’t see how this team will be able to win a playoff game with their defense playing the way they are. And by the looks of it, the Giants are currently a two-manned team, Eli is carrying the offense, and Jason Pierre-Paul is carrying the defense. Maybe they can their acts together, but I just don’t see it happening. But Congratulations to Coughlin for keeping his job for another year, most likely.
